Administration

Verbatim Careers Institute is owned and operated by Ardith Spies who has had over 20 years of experience in the education industry. The offices of VCI are located at 5910 N. Central Expressway # 100, Dallas, TX 75206.  The school is fully licensed by the Texas Workforce Commission and the curriculum approved by the Texas Court Reporters Certification Board.  The owner operated a fully-accredited, degree-granting court reporting school in Richardson, Texas, from 1984 to 2000. The National Court Reporting Association awarded her a Certified Program Evaluator status and in that capacity she evaluated several dozen schools in the United States. Serving on the Advisory Board of VCI are the following:

  • Marty Block, RDR, CSR, former president of the National Court Reporters Association and co-founder of a large captioning company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

 

  • William Oliver, PhD, RPR, former president of the National Court Reporters Association and former provost at the Texas campus of Northwood University.

 

  •  Mary Smith Agren, RPR, CRI, CPE, Former president of National Court Reporters Association, and former court reporting school owner.
